Weekly Message for the Week of April 15th

Dear Tiffany Families,

I hope this email finds you well on this April weekend.  Thank you to our PTA and all of the volunteers who made our PTA Bingo Night and Auction a success!!

Here is the information for the week:

TK/K will be on the Kindergarten grass areas and the remainder of the grade levels will be on the grass at the main playground.  Please be prepared to sign in and we cannot wait to see all of you this Friday!

Beginning at the end of April through the end of May, our K-6th grade students will be participating in different types of end of year assessments – CAASPP and Local Measures.  The different assessments per grade levels will be as follows:

Tiffany Testing Schedule 2024

At our Coffee with the Principal, we discussed the different types of tests that our students will take over the next few weeks.  Below is the PowerPoint from that presentation:

CAASPP for Families – Coffee with Principal

Registration for the 24/25 School Year is OPEN!  If you have a new, incoming student, for the 2024-25 school year, it is not too soon to get your child registered.  Our enrollment determines our staffing for the following year, so the sooner we know how many students to expect, the better idea we have for the staffing we will need to support their learning.

The entire process is online at www.cvesd.org.  Click HERE to go the registration page – you will find the information/documents you will need to fully register.  If you have any questions, please reach out to our office at 619-421-6300.

Parking Lot Safety

For your review, here are the traffic and parking lot expectations:

  • Red Curbs – “as required under California Vehicle Code Section 21458(a)(1), a curb painted red shall indicate no stopping, standing, or parking whether the vehicle is attended or unattended.”
  • The left lane in the parking lot is for traffic to move through.  Parking/stopping in the left lane blocks cars from being able to exit.  Students should not exit or enter vehicles that are in the left lane.
  • Use crosswalks for crossing the street and parking lot.  When dropping students off, please be sure that they exit the vehicle on the right so that they get out directly onto the sidewalk closest to the school building.
  • Follow traffic patterns and do not double park along parking spaces.
  • Right turn only out of our lot during arrival and dismissal.
  • Bus loading and unloading areas are for district vans and buses only

If you would like to volunteer in our parking lot, please let me know at crystal.sutton@cvesd.org.

Cure CMT4J 3rd Annual 5K – May 18th

Above is a flyer for a community event that is in support of one of our students here at Tiffany – his family has asked that I share it with our school community.  Join us on Saturday, May 18th to help find a cure for CMT4J!  I will be there!  **Please note, this is not a Tiffany Elementary or CVESD sponsored event.
