Welcome to the 2025/26 School Year!
Dear Tiffany Elementary School Families,
As we approach the opening of the 2025-2026 school year, I hope this message finds you and your family well. My name is Dr. Crystal Sutton and I am excited to serve this community for a fifth year as your principal! If you would like to know a little more about me, please click HERE, which will take you to my page on our school blog. I look forward to reconnecting with our current families and welcoming our new families.
I know our entire team is ready to welcome our students on July 23rd. Below you will find information about the start of school.
Office is Now Open
Our school main office is now open from 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our office team is processing continuing enrollment forms, enrolling new families and getting ready to open the school year. We are available to support our families with questions you may have. Please also be sure to subscribe to our Tiffany Elementary School Blog by visiting https://tiffanyelementary.edublogs.org/.
Continuing Student Registration for Returning Students
All returning families should have received an email notification from PowerSchool to complete the “CONTINUING STUDENT REGISTRATION” process back in late May and reminders if we have not received your information back yet. If you already completed this process, no need to do anything more.
We still have about 100 students who we do not have completed continuing enrollment yet, so please search your inbox by searching “PowerSchool” to locate the student specific link and complete the process. Completion of the Continuing Student Registration process is required for 2025-26 school year enrollment. Students who do not have this completed will not be able to start the school year.
If your plans have changed and your student(s) are not returning to Tiffany Elementary for the upcoming school year, please call the office as soon as possible to let us know.
As a reminder, this process is only for returning students – not new students.

2025-2026 School Year Calendar
Absence Guidelines
Here are some of the absence requirements for this school year. Please keep these items in mind:
- Please call the office to report any absences and the reason for the absence.
- Excused Absences: illness, doctor appointments for the student, military engagements (ex. ceremony, return from deployment), death of an immediate family member, etc.
- Unexcused Absences: appointments for other family members, out of town, vacations, etc.
- Independent Study: If you know ahead that your child might need to miss school (ex. family reunion), please contact your child’s teacher and our office to set up an independent study contract. Independent Study contracts are available for 1 or more consecutive days, but not more than 14 cumulative days in a school year. Independent Study Contracts should be requested at least one week in advance.
- Tardy: Students are considered tardy if they are not in class by 8:45am.
General Information
- Students are encouraged to come with their own water bottle to school to stay hydrated
- Volunteers are always welcome on campus. Stay tuned for more information on how to become a volunteer.
- We will continue to have parents/families outside at arrival each morning.
- At dismissal, Preschool, TK and K will all dismiss from the Kindergarten area to an adult. Kindergarten bus riders will be escorted to the bus.
- 1st will all dismiss from the Kindergarten area.
- Second through Sixth Grade students will walk through gates on the West side of campus at dismissal.
Supplies
There is nothing that a student is required to have to start school on July 23rd. Items that are helpful are a backpack, lunch box (if bringing food) and a water bottle. Basic school supplies will be provided here at Tiffany. Stay tuned for more information from your child’s teacher in the coming weeks.
Transportation
Some of the students in our school zoned-area are eligible for transportation. If you want to see if your student(s) are eligible, please visit the link below for more information:
https://www.cvesd.org/departments/transportation-services
*Please note that TK students are not eligible to ride the neighborhood bus. TK students in SDC follow a different requirement and guidelines for bus transportation are part of the student’s IEP.
Traffic and Safety
For your review, here are the traffic and parking lot expectations:
- Red Curbs – “as required under California Vehicle Code Section 21458(a)(1), a curb painted red shall indicate no stopping, standing, or parking whether the vehicle is attended or unattended.”
- Yellow curbs are for loading and unloading only – cars should not be parked and left unattended. If you are on a yellow curb, you should be in your vehicle to move as the traffic is moving.
- The left lane in the parking lot is for traffic to move through. Parking/stopping in the left lane blocks cars from being able to exit. Students should not exit or enter vehicles that are in the left lane.
- Use crosswalks for crossing the street and parking lot. When dropping students off, please be sure that they exit the vehicle on the right so that they get out directly onto the sidewalk closest to the school building.
- Follow traffic patterns and do not double park along parking spaces.
A detailed description of all parking lot expectations with photos was shared last year. Our families may find it helpful to see the information with photographs – please CLICK HERE to read a detailed description of our parking lot expectations.
Thank you, in advance, for following these expectations and for keeping our students safe.
Meals for Breakfast and Lunch this Year
Breakfast (before school) and Lunch will be provided for students free of charge again this year for those who would like it. Students can also bring their own lunch and/snacks. For menu information, please visit: https://www.cvesd.org/parents/child-nutrition-services
Breakfast service is from 8:10-8:40 every school day to all students. If your child would like breakfast, please enter the gates at the West end of campus and eat at the lunch tables outside on the main playground.

Happy Summer Break – Office Hours Impacted
Dear Tiffany Families,
I hope this message finds you well on the first official day of Summer Break! If this is unable to happen, we will notify our community.
The office team will be out on Summer Break from Wednesday, June 18th through July 10th. Any messages or emails sent during that time will be responded to in the order they were received.
Thank you again for an incredible school year and we will see everyone in July!

Weekly Message for the Week of May 12th
Dear Tiffany Families,
I hope this email finds you all well on this beautiful May weekend! Thank you for an incredible week for Staff Appreciation Week and spoiling our staff with so much love!
Here is the information for the week:
Sixth Graders Leaving for Camp on Monday and Returning on Friday
Our Sixth Graders will be leaving for Camp on Monday morning – please plan accordingly for parking to be impacted! They typically arrive back to school before dismissal on Friday, but just in case, please allow extra time.
Buy One Get One Book Fair on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!
Our PTA Scholastic Buy One Get One Free Book Fair is happening on our campus this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Students will be visiting with their classrooms during those three days and their classroom teacher will share their time with their classes. An after school shopping event will take place after school on Wednesday from 3:00-4:00pm.
We are looking for volunteers to help make our book fair a success – CLICK HERE to sign up!
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way. Even better news? At our school’s upcoming Fair, for every book they purchase, your eager readers can choose another book for FREE! I love this buy-one-get-one promotion because it means students can take home extra reading. Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers.
Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place:
• Tuesday, May 13 to Thursday, May 15
• Multi-Purpose Room (MPR)
Special Family Shopping Day: Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 3:00pm – 4pm
Before the Fair, make sure to set up eWallet, your child’s digital payment account. Say goodbye to cash and hello to worry-free, cash-free purchases—and anyone can contribute! Share your child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give them more books to enjoy. (If you have more than one child, you’ll need to create an eWallet for each one.)
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/burtonctiffanyelemsch
When you fund an eWallet, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a giving initiative called Share the Fair™. Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books from the Fair. Many of us still remember the rush of finding the perfect book at a Scholastic Book Fair. I hope you’ll join your child at our school’s Fair and share a reading experience they’ll remember forever.
Happy reading!
*Titles vary by Book Fair. All items at your Book Fair are available while supplies last. All free items must be of equal or lesser value than the purchased items.
