Dear Tiffany Families,
I hope this email finds you well on this weekend – it’s a hot one outside! Here is the information for the week:
Traffic and Safety
This week was particularly challenging in our parking lot. It takes all stakeholders in our community, who are coming and going each day, to help uphold the safety expectations. When we do not, it compromises the safety of everyone, but most importantly, the safety of our students. A few parents have stepped up and would like to volunteer with traffic. If you are interested in volunteering in this way, please email me as soon as possible at crystal.sutton@cvesd.org.
Our parking lot empties out relatively quickly when everyone follows the expectations. I appreciate your support. Here are a few important reminders:
- Red Curbs – “as required under California Vehicle Code Section 21458(a)(1), a curb painted red shall indicate no stopping, standing, or parking whether the vehicle is attended or unattended.”
- Yellow curbs are for loading and unloading only – cars should not be parked and left unattended. If you are on a yellow curb, you should be in your vehicle to move as the traffic is moving.
- The left lane in the parking lot is for traffic to move through. Parking/stopping in the left lane blocks cars from being able to exit. Students should not exit or enter vehicles that are in the left lane.
- Use crosswalks for crossing the street and parking lot. When dropping students off, please be sure that they exit the vehicle on the right so that they get out directly onto the sidewalk closest to the school building.
- Follow traffic patterns and do not double park along parking spaces.
Our School Resource Officer from CVPD was here last week and will be making stops by our school to help support traffic as well. Thank you for your help in keeping our parking lot and neighbor safe, which ultimately keeps our students safe. Again, we appreciate your support.
Makeup Day for Pictures
If your student was absent on Thursday, August 11th, Hager Photography will be back on Thursday, August 18th for make up photos.
PTA Membership Drive – Join Today!
There are different ways of becoming involved with PTA. The basic commitment is simply becoming a member! The cost is $11 and a portion of this membership stays right here at Tiffany. We will have many volunteer opportunities this year for the many PTA events that are being planned for our community. Please consider joining today!
The class with the highest percentage will win an ice cream treat for the whole class! The membership drive ends on Friday, though we will continue taking memberships throughout the year.

PTA General Meeting on August 24th at 6pm
Our first PTA General Membership Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 24th at 6pm. There will be an in-person and virtual option. Stay tuned for more information. If you haven’t already, consider becoming a member. The cost is $11 and being a member, is just that, being a member. Your membership is one way that benefits our school community. Lunch Applications
While all meals are free for all students this year, these applications also can provide additional funding for our school. We are asking that our families fill out and return the applications for the lunch program. This application is green – be on the look out for it and return as soon as possible.
