Dear Tiffany Families,
I cannot believe that we are down to single digits of the school year! There is a lot happening on campus, so be sure to read this message to stay up to date. Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, May 29th in honor of Memorial Day. Tuesday, May 30th will be a regular day. Our final day of school is Friday, June 2nd, which is a Minimum Day. Here is the information for this week:
Construction Beginning this Week at Tiffany
In anticipation of our growing enrollment, we will be adding two buildings to our campus to accommodate TK in English and in Spanish next year. These modular buildings will be delivered at 6am on Tuesday, May 23rd and the delivery may impact morning drop off. Please allow extra time just in case. In addition, we have permission from the City of Chula Vista to park on the street on this day, to help with parking due to the delivery of the buildings.
The buildings will be placed to the North of the current 600 building and the area will be fenced off until the construction is finished.
Testing is Wrapping Up – Two Grade Levels Still Testing and Makeups
The calendar is above for your reference, which includes the testing that is still in progress here at Tiffany. Here are some tips to prepare:
If you are interested in the types of questions that your child will be asked on state testing, you can CLICK HERE to visit the CAASPP website for released questions. Please note that cell phones and smart watches are not permitted to be powered on in the classroom where the CAASPP is being administered. This is for staff and students. As such, electronic devices, such as cell phones and smart watches, will be stored away and powered off.

Lost and Found – Upgraded 🙂
Our lost and found cart has been upgraded thanks to a generous donation of time and the racks from Ms. Peters, Mrs. Salgado and Mrs. Farrer. The items are now organized by color and it is much easier to see if something belongs to you! Several items have already found their owner, but there are still items left. Please stop by the front of our school to see if any of these items belong to your household! All items not claimed will be donated on the last day of school.
Traffic and Safety
For your review, here are the traffic and parking lot expectations:
- Red Curbs – “as required under California Vehicle Code Section 21458(a)(1), a curb painted red shall indicate no stopping, standing, or parking whether the vehicle is attended or unattended.”
- Yellow curbs are for loading and unloading only – cars should not be parked and left unattended. If you are on a yellow curb, you should be in your vehicle to move as the traffic is moving.
- The left lane in the parking lot is for traffic to move through. Parking/stopping in the left lane blocks cars from being able to exit. Students should not exit or enter vehicles that are in the left lane.
- Use crosswalks for crossing the street and parking lot. When dropping students off, please be sure that they exit the vehicle on the right so that they get out directly onto the sidewalk closest to the school building.
- Follow traffic patterns and do not double park along parking spaces.
Thank you for following these expectations and for keeping our students safe.
We’ve got this, Tigers!
Take Care,
Dr. Sutton
